I am here for all of the same reasons most of you are I guess. I am a 52 year old with degenerative disc disease, 2 herniated lumbar discs, SI joint dysfunction and chronic pain. I have been dealing with these issues for over 2 years, worsening pain after injuring my back further at work helping an elderly patient. Worker's comp denied claims stating pre- existing condition and now I have been out of work for over a year but doctors deny I have any disability..Go Figure..
I have had facet injection with no relief, epidurals with no relief, Physical therapy, I try and stay as active as I can and recently had the nerves lasered around the discs which helped a little but now SI joint dysfunction is worsening.
In 2009, I had a discectomy/laminectomy at L5_S1 with relief until 2012 then the disc herniated again.
I am here to help find ways to cope with pain, learn new techniques for treatment and help in dealing with these complex issues.
Thank you for allowing me to be among " friends" and those who know what I deal with each day. No one understands what this pain is like and how it affects our daily lives.
