Sumatriptan/Imitrex and Bone Fusion

I read that one possible reason why smoking and NSAIDs can cause bone fusions to fail is that they are both strong vasoconstrictors.

I take imitrex (sumatriptan) for migrains. My spine surgeon said there is no data to suggest that imitrex can cause complications for bone grafts, but I'm concerned because its a strong vasoconstrictor for some arteries in the brain (I'm not sure if it constricts all arteries or just in the brain).

Does anyone know if sumatriptan is bad for me to take while I'm healing? I had L5-S1 fusion about 7 weeks ago.
