Sciatic nerve pain returning

I'm a 66 year old female complaining of severe lower back pain and diagnosed last March with spondylothesis after an MRI which soon escalated to severe, painful sciatica. Two lumbar epidurals and PT gave no relief. In May I was referred to a neuro-surgeon who scheduled a nerve root block the end of June. Relief finally came 7-4-14 but only lasted three months, instead if the six months predicted.

Sciatic nerve pain has returned and getting worse. Last April and May I had to use a walker until the nerve root block took effect. I'm scheduled for another MRI next week then the possibility of another nerve root block or possible surgery soon after.

Just wondering what other options might be available. Last battle involved nerve pain alternating both legs. I was on oxycodone, Valium, muscle relaxer and fentanyl patch. Severely nauseated and slept 18 hrs a day.

What treatment methods seem to work better? Your input will be greatly appreciated.
