Possible allergy to internal neck hardware

Hi. I did a recent post on how I was havin dysphagia after my discectomy with allograft and plating on July 21. I was told after ent visualized with scope my upper esoohagus back of voice box and even up U der adenoids is swollen. They are trying to tell me it's a combination of the surgery and acid reflux. I had already been on prevacid for quite a while and they added Zantac at night. Now I was switched to protonix in am Zantac in pm and placed on steroid to combat the inflammation. Why did this happen. I am not gettin much relief after 4th day of steroid and will start to wean down tomorrow. Is it possible this swelling is a reaction to my hardware. Can anybody help me or have U had anything similar. Thanks
