I have had severe headaches and neck pain for 6 months now. MRI has shown herniated disc at c5-c6 with bone spurs and ddd. I have been out of work for 2 months due to the headaches being so severe I am unable to perform daily tasks. OTC meds do not help at all. I do take Nortriptyline to help me sleep and baclofen to help with the muscle spasms. My neck constanlty hurts, causing pain between my shoulder blades and then my hand and arm goes numb. I am at my witts end and am looking for advice as to what I should do. My neurologist says he herniated disc isnt the cause of the pain, nor is it severe enough to operate. In fact, he recenlty ordered another MRI as he noticed I do not have a pulse in my right arm. He beleives I may have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
Anybody have any suggestions how I can make the pain be easier to deal with? I have been to p/t, chiro, accupuncture, and massage, none worked.
I was also told I have no curve in my cervical spine.
