Bulging Disc/Annular Tear

I just got the results of an MRI that I had a week or so ago and have been told that my Dr is sending me to a Neuro Dr. I have disc bulge in C4-C5 and disc bulge in C5-C6 with annular tear. My appt. with the neuro doc is not until January so at first I was thinking this must not be that serious but the pain and funny feeling that I have is there daily. It's very annoying and gets so bad some days that I get a migraine. I have trouble sleeping and the feeling I have most evenings is one of the feeling like you've hot your funny bone but this feeling is in my arms, neck and shoulders. What can I do to try and help until I can see the Neuro, if anything?
