Hi , I am hoping to find some hope or suggestions.
I have dealt with the recover of cervical damage and subsequent fusion since a trampoline accident in 1980 fusing C4/5
In 1996 the wear and tear above and below was bad enough that I had C6 fused .
4 weeks ago I had a third procedure after trying to manage the pain and numbness for years.
The doc did an ACDF at C6/7 removing material and the disk we used a donor bone and plate for the repair.
He did say the scar tissue build up was pretty bad but did not have an answer for how long I would feel this bad.
I am exhausted mostly after trying to talk , my voice is awful and seems to get worse as the day goes on.
How long should I expect this to last, when someone says there could be some pain and hoarseness I didnt expect his.
I am worried
