12+ years of Pain after L1 compressoin Fracture

Had a compression fracture to L1 about 12 years ago.. I have had low back pain since, but it is strangely mostly lower then the fracture site.

Ive been to chiropractors, physical therapy, orthopedicS..

Most recently, My doc says loose weight and stop picking up my son.(?!) He is 2 but 35 lbs, so my pain is getting worse and worse. The fluctuation in weight and extra weight around mid section doesn't help I know but to be in this much pain for this long...

On the Ortho's office Xray and another Orthos MRI of just lower back, only show the fraction to still be healed the same way and nothing out of order...

Can any recommend what else I could do, and what else can be causing excruciating pain at the moment??
I work and drive my son, so I cant take any stronger pills then some Aleve, which I think I am immune to!

It would be very helpful if you could provide us with more details. Here are some questions that you
should answer:

  • - When did this first start?
    - Was it the result of an accident or trauma?
    - What doctors have you seen?
    - What Conservative treatments have you had? Which ones?
    - What diagnostic tests have you had? And their results
    - What medications are you currently using?
    - Has surgery been discussed as an option?
    - What is your doctor’s action plan for treating you?
Providing answers to questions like this will give the member community here a better understanding
of your situation and make it easier to respond.
