I had my occipital hardware and C2 hardware removed (fusion) and my surgeon kept in my C1 and C3 hardware for another fusion. After my surgery it started hurting around the drain and has spread slowly with numbness surrounding it and its only on one side. I was wondering I if anyone else had this? It's really painful and we are trying desensitize that area. How long did it take you for you to start noticing a difference and how long did it take overall for it not to hurt? Did anything help? Do you know what caused it?
