Continuously throwing out my mid back.

I am 27 years old and for the last 9 years I have thrown my back out in the same spot over and over again. Always in the same spot. It is to the right center of my left shoulder blade. When I throw my back out it can be from playing with my neice and throwing her in the air or running or lifting light weights, slipping on stairs or in the shower. They will all cause about the same pain and it puts me out of commission for anywhere from a day to 8 days before I can get back to my norm. Drs always say it will get better but the fact that it's the same spot and keeps happening concerns me and I want it fixed! What could be the real problem? What should I do? What type of Dr shoukd I see?
