Hi everyone,
Although I'm new to posting, I have read several posts over the last year. I'm on week 4 recovery from an L2-S1 fusion with decompression. This is my second back surgery. I seem to be doing a lot better with this one except for the weakness and sleepyness. I think this is probably just recovery from the crummy year I have had. This is my 4th surgery this year so it's been a dewsey. I went in last December for back pain that had gotten worse and remained since my first back surgery to discover I had an appendicitis that required emergency surgery. After biopsy of my appendices a carcinoid tumor was found and my surgeon wanted a hemicolectomy done, which I had done in January 2014. About a month after I had to have my galbladder taken out. I was still experiencing a lot of back pain and after finding a surgeon I trusted after my last surgery flop had surgery October 29th 2014. I had rotoscoliosis, anterolisthesis, loose hardware and 2 pedicle screws out of place from my first surgery.

Anyways, I am looking forward to 2015. I am walking only 1/4 mile a day but hoping to get better. I had a lot of right leg pain initially and Charlie horses in my rear. My doctor said this was from all of the nerves that had been pinched now released. It is getting better thankfully.

I would really like to hear how anyone else is doing that has had the same surgery?
