Got a second opinion today :)

I started PT today and saw a new doctor after the horrible ortho doc experience. The ortho happened to be visiting my clinic today which I had no idea he even rounded there! I was worried so I asked the nurse if it would affect my care or the second opinion. She rolled her eyes and said absolutely not and they get complains frequently from that particular ortho. The doc also said the same thing! I felt so validated after how poorly had treated me.

This doc did a thorough exam looked at the x-ray report and said it is the C5-6 degeneration nerve root likely causing my pain and symptoms! He prescribed Pedisone and a few narcotic pills for short term and said he would attempt to get a pain doc to do injections even though I am pregnant! The meds are all considered low risk (which I knew) and I am hoping with pt and reduced pain I will get better before I have to start holding and nursing my little baby boy coming in 8 weeks.

I am thankful. I feel energized by hope. Thank you for reading and I will repost if and when I get an MRI.
