2nd cervical fusion C7

Had a cervical fusion from C3 to C5 with a corpectomy & laminectomy in 2005. Now I need C7 fused. Is the recovery easier or worse? The neurosurgeon said he doesn't have to touch the old fusion just fix one level. It looks like a artificial disk with titanium screws that bonds to a previous fusion. Anyone with info or a experience to share???
