Any solution for stomach/pelvis pain from thoracic disc bulge?

I was diagnosed with a bulge at T3/4 and T7/8. Both discs are pressing against the spinal cord. This happened a year and a half ago. 7 months ago I started feeling pain all in my abdomen and pelvis area. I've had 9 months of PT,multiple anti inflammatorys, a recent epidural injection, and now upgraded to gabapentin 600mg 3 times a day. This stretching pulling feeling in my stomach/pelvis never goes away. It is worse when I bend over or lean back. Is there any REAL cure for this other than possible surgery? And I already have read all the dangers associated with that. All I know is that I'm 29 and I refuse to live 50 more years with this pain and not do all I can to try and eliminate it. Thanks for any responses or experiences you guys can share

  • I have 6 herniated disks, 5 in my thoracic region and 1 in lumbar. One is in my T7/8 also and that's the one closest to the nerve. I also get upper stomach abdomen pain along with midback burning pain, I don't know why. My doctor says she doesn't see any nerves being contacted by my herniated disc so she's not going to do anything but recommends PT. I'm 44 and like you I don't want to live in pain the rest of my life. Let me know if you learn of anything. Michelle
