I have had foot drop since July 17, 2011, from an auto accident which just about kill me. In the beginning of my days in the hospital I knew nothing, and had lots of injuries from the reck. I was told my foot would come back, so with years of PT and no recovery, I have lost precious time and now I am told nerve transfer will not work, too much time has laps. I am mad we can fix Hearts but can not make foot drop go away, because I listen to the Doctors. I know in the beginning of my recovery my life being save was top on the list and for that I am very grateful, but if they can do a hip replace on me in Dec that same year why not my foot too. Foot drop can get on my nerves real bad at night. I am thinking about tendon transfer, it will not solve my problem, but no brace would be sweet.
