For 6 months I've had had worsening pain in my left groin, hip, that sometimes radiates to my thigh and now it is so bad I can hardly walk. I've seen 2 orothos, a spine surgeon, pain management, OB/GYN. All tests including: pelvic & lumbar MRIs & Xrays (August), Pelvic & Abdominal Ultrasounds (2), Pelvic & Abdominal CT w/Contract (2 days ago at the ER), and blood work show nothing (unremarkable). I've had l3/l4, l4/l5, 2 Hip, and an SI nerve blocks that did nothing at all. I've avoided pain meds because I don't like how they make me feel but did get a script for Oxy when I went to the ER and it only takes some of the edge off. I'm starting to think I'm going nuts. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this? I'm headed back to the pain management specialists (did my nerve blocks) on Monday but not sure what else they can do. I've spent a ton of money and time including missed work on finding an answer and am getting very discouraged.

Thank You!

Welcome to Spine-Health

It would be very helpful if you could provide us with more details. Here are some questions that you
should answer:

  • - When did this first start?
    - Was it the result of an accident or trauma?
    - What doctors have you seen?
    - What Conservative treatments have you had? Which ones?
    - What diagnostic tests have you had? And their results
    - What medications are you currently using?
    - Has surgery been discussed as an option?
    - What is your doctor’s action plan for treating you?

Providing answers to questions like this will give the member community here a better understanding
of your situation and make it easier to respond.

You indicated that all of your tests to date have come back negative. What is your doctor(s) saying about that? If I am reading your thread
correctly, you have had the diagnostic tests, but they come back negative. Though your doctor is isolating specific disc levels for injections.
What is their rationale behind that?

Please take a look at our forum rules: Forum Rules

Also please remember, there is no one on this forum site that is a medical professional. Therefore, no one can provide you with a diagnosis of your problem. You need to discuss that with your doctor.
