Lower back agonising spasms and now in neck!

Just don't know what happening to me.

About 3 moths ago I stretched for something while kneeling down and had a back seizure.
My lower right back had completely seized and I couldn't move for 3 days. If I tried to move I would get a agonising spasm (cramp style) for minutes (seemed like hours)
Eventually I recovered after much co-codemol and Ibroprofen and although I got the odd back twitch my back problem hasn't re-occurred.
Never felt pain like it.
I would liken it to someone pulling on a ligament or something like that.
I mean,my doctor said it was muscle spasms but I've had cramp before but this was more like ligament to me.

However, last Saturday (4 days ago, I woke up with a minor stiff neck, which turned into the same spasms, gradually worsening throughout the day until I couldn't move my neck without the same agonising pain I had before with my back.
I am currently loaded with co-codemol and ibroprofen again.
Although it's just wearing off now, it's been a truly horrendous 4 days.
I wouldn't mind if I was kick boxing or anything like that, but I ain't been doing much because of the back twinges anyway.

Does anyone have any similar experiences I could learn from as I have no idea what is happening.
I am 50+ but generally in good health apart from these recent problems

I had flare ups in my neck just like the ones you described. I was in so much pain, it hurt if someone touched me much less when I moved. It was agonizing. I would take ibuprofen and muscle relaxers when I could just to function enough to work. Definitely not fun. It was 2.5 yrs of those before I got someone to help me and then eventually get me to a neurosurgeon. I had C5/C6 disc that was herniated and was pushing against my nerve roots and spinal cord compression and myelopathy.
