right hip pain now from micro disectomy and laminectomy

I recently had a micro disectomy and a laminectomy on my l4 l5. The pain went away on my left leg completely but my right hip down to my knee is still in pain. I walk as the doctor ask, use ice packs, currently taking Norco 5 and muscle relaxers. It has only been 5 weeks since the surgery is this normal and will the pain get better? I'm really asking for any suggestions because I want the pain in my leg to stop.
