I'm a 52 year old lady who has been recently diagnosed with Degenerative Disc - L4 L5 & L6. But i'm not sure if I have a disease or if degeneration is due to aging factors. I have been exercising regularly. Recently I did 3 sets of 50 squats ie side and straight squats followed by jogging slowly on a short tar road. Stopping for a few mins and returning. I did about 22 lengths of jogging. I started experiencing sciatic pain in my left leg. That was when I did a CT scan and was informed of degenerative discs. I feel a bit of stiffness in my spine.
Please tell me if it is alright for me to continue with the exercises I mentioned above. Will it cause further deterioration or is it alright for me to workout. I am currently 65 kgs and am trying to bring my wt down to 55kgs.
