Cervical Disc Replacement and Exercise Questions

Greetings everyone,
I'll start off by saying that before surgery I was a very active person.

I just had cervical disc replacement on my c6, c7 area last Friday and I was wondering if I will ever be able to participate in boxing again? I don't mean fighting or sparring because I've come to terms with not being able to do that, I mean hitting/punching a heavy bag and doing all the boxing workouts?

Also, I love running, will I be able to do this safely twice a week?

Just curious if there is anybody out on this forum that could give me advice or at least some hopeful personal stories.
