I am writing this for my dad, who had a spinal surgery for herniated disc. Post op he was in hospital for one week and then in rehab for second week. This is his third week and he is at home now. Dr's/PT have not tried to walk him yet and said he need to regain some more power for walking. His right leg is ok, he can move up, down whatever. His left leg he can feel it, have pain and sensations and as of yesterday small movements. Right now he is at home and had scheduled PT sessions everyday. Its so difficult for him as he cannot even go to bathroom, he is basically bedridden. How long it may take for him to stand up, walk using a walker and walk independently. Could you please give any suggestions to get the mobility back more quickly or its the way it is?? Please please help. Any suggestions and advices on treatment will be great too..

Thanks in advance.
