lower back pain...workmans comp

Hey everyone. New to this site. I'm a nurse. We had a patient that was choking. Weighed about 200lbs, also couldn't stand on their own. There was just me and another nurse. I lifted them up and the other nurse did Heimlich. This happened middle of sept. Started with achy low back pain about 2 hours after, within 24hours after had sciatica on the right side. I initially was out of work for a week. They put me on 10days of prednisone. I'm alergic to anti-inflammatories. Went back to work. Lasted about 2 days, back out of work. Did PT. Also trigger cortisone shot and I'm on neurontin. Mri showed minor facet joint issues, emg and ncs showed muscle weakness and neg reflexes to bottom of my foot. At this point the sciatica was affecting both of my legs...right worse than left. Just went back to work yest with restrictions. By the end of today, I had trouble walking, and couldn't lift up my leg. Also sciatica. I've been convinced all along there's a disc issue not showing up on the mri, but doc or workmans comp not listening. I go back to neuro on tues. Anyone been in a similar situation??
