I was healthy and very strong. I ate extremely well and worked out almost everyday. I started feeling strange and having shooting pains from my shoulders to my hands over the summer and woke up one morning in September and couldn't move my neck. My traps were in rock hard spasms and I wound up having to go to the ER. After several doctors, an MRI, and weeks later, I was diagnosed with cervical disc herniations at c-5-6-7. I thought it was probably because of lifting weights and was a repetitive strain injury. I took the muscle relaxers and pain relief, but things just kept getting worse. My whole body flared up in pain and my preexisting lumbar pain joined in. I developed (diagnosed small fiber neuropathy) through out my body. It has been 5 months of an acute situation. I couldn't drive for 4 months due to the inability to turn my head and extreme dizziness.
I can drive as of last month and can turn my head a little more, but not all the way in either direction. My vision is affected and gets blurry on and off all day.
I am wondering how much of this has to do with the few different diagnoses that I have: cervical disc herniations, fibro, neuropathy. I had spinal tap and full body MRI. They say not MS. My ANA however is very high so autoimmune is suspected, but they can't figure out what.
I guess I'm trying to find people with similar situations from being very healthy and fit to a bunch of diagnoses with unknown cause.
