thoracic back injury leading to left lung problems

I received an injury to my back 3 yrs. ago, through all kinds of testing nothing was found but severe pain continued along with trouble breathing an SOB, on top of this I believe I developed shingles in this area . All Dr. could do was supply me with Percocet, I didn't do well with any other meds to treat nerve pain. I finally asked for a nerve block in my back that instantly took away the knife sticking in my back pain. and proceeded to get off the Percocet. 3 weeks later I started therapy for all the knotted up muscles in my back, well this started some whole new issues. I made a trip to the ER last week with my o2 sats 91% and feeling as though I couldn't get enough air in. They put me on prednisone 50mg and back on Percocet this has helped temporarily but I need an answer to all of this any one else out there with these same issues?

  • What kinds of testing and what were the results? Did anything at all show up? What kind of injury did you have? Did your breathing problems begin immediately after injury or creep up as time passed? All kinds of questions, I know, but it's going to be hard for anyone to try and give you advice with so little to go on.
