Long, long road. I was a can over 20 years mostly in rehab had first surgery for herniated disk in 99 then following year went to nursing school (my dream job) doing great until I reherniated and left Xmas vacation to have surgery jan5 , Feb. 6 ana may 24 of same year. I never got to finish the last 5 months of school. I have tried everything.. most of nerve pain is in both legs and right foot no numbnes just tremendous food pain I take 30mg morphineq q4 and 30 methadone every six. can't take pain and think its time to give the trial a try. I want. To thank everyone who took the time to post about their experience. I now know what to expect onmy road ahead. Thanks again and iI will post after my trial. I am very positive that I wont regret it.
Snow storm starting at 3am Mon. Day of my trial.. I live on cape cod and drs. In Boston it takes us 2hours and 40 min to get there. I think we will leave 4 hours early due to storm . I have been waiting to long to let a storm postpone my trial.

God bless

  • I wish you the best of luck with your trial. I had my trial stimulator removed last Monday, and I am seeing my surgeon to schedule the implant since the trial was a "success". It was a great help with my leg pain and allowed me to sit more that 45 mins for the first time in 15 monrhs. It was somewhat helpful with my standing and walking ability but not greatly. It was emough for my PM dr to advise the implant. My main fear is that I am having further damage than what was on my post op mri, because I didn't have a lot of relief with my central back pain. Idk. Let us know how your trial goes. I hope you find relief. I too was in the medical field and haven't been ble to work since 10/11/13.
