Hello, im simon from London. Currently off work due to disc herniation at L4/5 impingement of L5 nerve root causing horrendous sciatic pain, correct medication has now helped largely with the pain and sleeping at night. I was hoping to return to work after receiving the correct medication but although its giving pain relief and a reasonable nights sleep im still unable to return to work. Its the "not fit for work" that now hurts the most. Im unsure if its safe for me to return, i do a lot of driving, im required all over the uk. The hours can be very long and tiring. One minute im sitting down driving the next im climbing all over a crane building it being physical. The movement side of things my back will love, its the driving and bending down that worries me. Will it cause the herniation to worsen ? In 2013 i first suffered sciatica, the mri disc couldn't be read by the chiropractor nor the hospital, it was in an unknown format for some reason, i was told it's the report that was needed and what everyone goes by so i didn't take it any further with the imaging centre. The physio yanked my leg around for what seemed like all day testing the strength etc. The next day i woke up and the pain was gone. 'Completely gone. I was back to work within 5 days.
this time the pain is going nowhere. Only the chiropractor has treated me this time and that hasn't done anything to help.

Just saying hi and giving you my story
