battery pocket pain after 5 years

HI All-
I haven't posted in a few years. I have been off living life with the pain relief my SCS and pain meds afford me. I have, though, started after 5 years of it being quietly tucked on top of my right hip, started experiencing battery pocket pain.

The sensation is an intense stinging. Lidoderm patches do not touch it. The only thing i have recently changed is going from doing water aerobics alone to doing them in a class, which forces me to keep a quicker pace than I force myself to do.

Has anyone else experienced battery pocket pain after an extended quiet period? Did it signal erosion of your battery through the skin?
