cynovial cyst at L5/S1

Has anyone had their cyst ruptured? My chiro wants to refer me to an anesthesiologist who has performed a lot of these procedures with good outcomes. My insurance with Kaiser Permenent wont cover it or do the procedure at their facility as they have no experience and would rather send me to a surgeon to have it removed. I have found results online of a clinical study that was done in September of last year that showed 13 out of 13 patients were able to avoid surgery after having this procedure. Would like to hear from someone personally who has tried this. I am also currently going through Laser Therapy which I believe is beginning to help with the inflammation. I take 10mg of Percocet 3-4 times daily for the pain but am still very limited in my activity and have been living this hell for 3 going on 4 months. I am ready to try anything. Help!
