L5/S1 annular disc bulge LEFT FOOT SWOLLEN 3 MONTHS

Hi there,
I have had nerve pain in my left foot for 3 months straight along with persistant localized swelling.
The nerve pain is on the top of my foot, inner ankle and up my inner calf.
No doctor can figure out what the swelling has to do with anything. I have tried everything to try and get the fluid out.
Its ruining my life and the pain isnt even THAT BAD. I have done salt soaks, ibuprofen, i eat organic food mostly, ice, elevation, compression socks, i've tried to pull the fluid out with preparation H, which clearly didnt work because its not water retention.
What does my spine damage have to do with my swollen left foot and why has it been 3 months of this with no improvement.

My MRI shows annular disc bulge on L5-S1, but doesnt appear to be pressing on any nerves. I know its always worse in real life than what the MRI portrays because of gravity, but what the heck!
PLEASE HELP ME! I'm going in for a nerve conduction study in a month, but what is that going to do?! They dont know what is going on. Nerve pain usually doesnt go hand in hand with edema.

Thank you,
Katie ( desperately freaked out 23 year old used to be active girl)

    Hi Katie,

I went and saw Drxxxin the Sydney CBD (not sure where you are located). He uses a technique called Spinal Decompression. It basically creates a decompressive type movement in the lumbar spine that helps to retract disc protrusions and help them heal. I had pain from my lower back to my calve. All gone now. And this was after the surgeon I saw said surgery was my only option.

Not much info on there but email him and ask him if you like.

    Best of luck!!
