Hello everyone.

My first post and i just want to share my experience here. I have bilateral spondylolysis and grade 1 spondylolisthesis in L5 S1, moderate left paracentral disc protrusiona and severe left side foraminal stenosis all in L5 S1. I have been dealing with this pain for almost 9 months. I am in severe pain and limping and cant even get a good night sleep due to pain. I can only sleep in my right side in a crouch position. My left leg is shooting pain pain all over, ankle, thigh, shin, and the unbearable pain like a dull knife in my lower buttocks all day.

I just had my ALIF and Laminectomy three days ago and i'm glad i did it. No more pain and tingling and i can walk straight now unlike before i was hunch on left side. The only thing i have to deal now is recovery from two incisions front and back. I'm home now and i walked from time to time Pain Free. I guess my surgery is succesfull and i'm glad i did it. i still have to deal with the pain of recovering and constipation i have after surgery :-)

  • Hi radz

    Hope you are doing well.
How is your pain condition now. Were there any osteophytes (bone spurs) in your case. If yes then were those also removed during Alif and Laminectomy Procedure.

I am also having central disc buldging at L1-L2 with osteophyte growth. I went through only Laminectomy to avoid any emergency conditions but the disc buldge and osteophyte is still there Which is causing me moderate pain and burning effect in lower back , both legs , calf and sole of feet.
Now I am thinking to go for ALIF if possible to remove the source.
