cervical disc replacement

Hi, I had a cervical disc replacement on 2/6/15.I had a herniated disc at level c6/c7, symptoms were numbness in left pointer and middle fingers, burning pain from left neck, shoulder, under axilla and then down lateral upper arm, forearm and into hand/fingers. A s the day went on, I would develop aching pain across left chest and into axilla.Eventually had MRI, diagnosing the herniation among other things
( degenerative changes, foraminal stenosis severe at c6-7 level, hypertrophy of facet joints, etc). After 5 weeks of light duty consisting of computer and phone work, that of course made things feel worse, a few sessions of physical therapy (stopped due to therapist stating that I had no position of comfort" to work from, the surgeon suggested disc replacement surgery. I have been having trouble finding info on the internet regarding postop recovery period, restrictions, exercises and complications related to disc replacement as opposed to ACDF. My dc instructions were a weight lifting restriction 0f 5-10 LBS, no driving for 3-4 weeks and to keep moving my neck. I still have numbness/tingling in m left middle/pointer fingers, pain in neck and stiffness/pain of my neck, bilateral upper back and shoulders. My incision is red, ecchymotic and painful and I feel a hard area running along the incision line. I would love to have info from others that have been through this. Thanks
