The surgeon today recommended a four level ACDF. Basically, I have four ruptured disc, myelopathy and congenital stenosis of the cervical spine. Artificial disc are not an option because it involves so many levels and because there is significant foraminal arthrosis that needs to be cleaned up as well. I am typing this, and not even sure where to begin asking questions. I do plan to seek a second opinion (which he encouraged me to do), but because of the myelopathy, I do think surgery will be necessary. Has anyone had four levels done at one time? What was your recovery like? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
