I met several people in the waiting room on my first visit to my orthopedic surgeon. We all chose to stay in touch to keep track of how we were all doing. Having done a lot of research, I chose to treat my issue non surgically, with stem cell and platelet procedures. Of the five people I have kept in touch with, two have had fusion surgery, one spinal stenosis surgery, one a lumbar decompression and one a discectomy. Of those 5 people, two have needed additional surgeries, and two have dealt with major complications. Happy to say one is fine and was greatly helped by her surgery! But given the fact that my procedures simply involved injections of my own stem cells and platelets from my own blood, I had no surgery, no revision surgery, no complications and almost no down time.
