Hi every one new person here but not new to pain or stenosis I have been having back pains on and off for over 35 years ever since a wrestling coach dropped me on my head in a practice.
I have had these lumbar Stenosis treatments since I was told it was spinal stenosis some still help a little for a few days
1) pt didnt really help much she wouldnt listen to me and just kept aggravating the area but I stayed with it for a month then I was in bed for a few weeks out of pain.
2) medication is the only thing that keeps me moving but who wants to live on them forever I am on a muscle relaxer and
80 mgs. of oxycotins 3 times a day they dont make me feel any different just help deaden pain.
3) Epidurals worked temporary at 1st then not at all.
i have 2 different Drs, for this my regular GP. also a spine specialist he suggested I have the surgery when I couldn't stand the pain anymore because he said since it wasnt from a injury that my whole back is week and once I start having surgery in 1 place I would start needing more up and down my spine and would end up with a solid back and that I am afraid of. He also says he cant guaranty that I would get any relief from it .
Present day the pain is getting much more intense and the last 8 yrs I have no reflexes in my knees having more problems with incontinence hard to walk more than 20 ft with out a shopping cart to lean on plus I always have to use my cane now.
Sorry to ramble on but I do have a few questions 1st is the surgery worth it he scared me when he said it might not make a differences, Can inversion therapy help with stenosis to try it I would have to buy a more expensive table because since I have been half way house bound the last 4 years I have gained almost 80 pounds and go over 300 now :(, I used to walk between 8 to 10 miles a day now 20 ft it is so depressing :( like I said sorry to ramble just need a few ideas thanks .wpony
