Cortisone and B12 injections? Experiences?

I haven't been able to find much on the internet about cortisone injections just given the "old fashioned way" ....in the hip.
I asked for one yesterday because I just could not get any relief for my lower back pain. I have had trigger point injections before, and was told I would feel more soreness the second day and I did, but I did feel better after that.

I have all over body aches and did notice it seemed eased up after the shot last night but my low back pain felt worse, but this morning it was so nice to wake up and not be achy all over! I'm just curious if any of you get these and if they help your pain?

When all of this first hit me 2 yrs ago Dr put me on predisone and all of my pain eased up and I felt like my old self again so I thought I'd give this a try and see how it does. I do still have a little pain but not as much as usual. Thanks for any input you might be able to share.

  • hey im sorry to ask this since i dont want to hijack your thread, but how had the prednisone worked for you? i was considering trying a week long medrol dose pack but not sure if the prednisone would permanently fix the issue? what dose were you on, and or how long did you take it/feel relief?

why didn't your doctor put you back on pred? too many sides?
