During a recent training session, I may have first strained my hip flexor (right side) and then during a 1 leg squat sequnece my lower right SI / back went out when I was at the bottom. A solid click and I immediately went down. This was 10 days ago. The low back feels better - still somewhat tender (Chiro sessions) and my groin is still tender. The most concerning symptom is my quad. I have lingering radiating nerve like pain and extreme cramping. Very painfull and keeps me awake at night. The pain is worse in the morning and I can barely get to couch quickly enough. The pain radiates all the way down to my patella. After a couple hours of resting is does go down in pain level but constant all day. Worse standing or walking. Chiro thought perhaps femoral nerve entrapment from disc issues but I can bend over without pain. Pain is incrased in front hip flexor and hip joint when arching - I cannot arch back very much without loacalized and radiating pain.
This pain seems to be constant or gettting worse. Saw my GP and he thought perhaps localized strain in the quad to to give it a couple of weeks. Don't think I can endure that long.......
Good conditioning otherwise - very active triathlete and crossfit athlete. 47 yrs old. Hisitory of RA and on methtrexate and Simponi - under control.
