SIJoint dysfunction

Hello fellow forum members, Does anyone with SI joint dysfunction or injury experience chronic bowel cramping and especially before and after a bowel movement? Can they possibly be related? Thanks for any info.

I'm not sure that they are related. Mine feels like really bad gas pains and sometimes I double over but they do go away whether I have a bowel movement or not. Not to get too descriptive but I've been on high powered pain meds for 14months and before that hydrocodone for 5yrs straight. I find that it gets bad if I haven't gone to the bathroom in days and once it starts I will have bouts of pain 2-3 times a day for about 3 days. During those 3 days I will have a bowel movement at least twice a day. It makes me wonder if it's all of the pain meds I'm on which can cause slow bowels and constipation, although it's not hard for me to go (sorry for tmi). I'm not a doctor so I'm just speculating here but I will say I've not had this problem until I was put on oxycontin and oxycodone 14 months ago.
