My name is Mark and I am new to this. I had ALIF surgery L5-S1 and a total disc replacement L4-L5 13 FEB and to be honest I am hurting. was in the hospital for 5 days post-op due to horrible post op care and really poor pain management. I am home now, and maybe feel that I am slowly getting better, but I still have high levels of pain and take pain meds every 4 hours. I am able to walk about a mile so I think that's good, but other then that I am almost scared to move because of the sudden flare ups of pain in the lower back. my left leg and foot are really hurting too, tingles and all that. I guess I am just looking for others to vent with, chat with and hear how they recovered. I am 37 and really hope that it gets better and there is light at the end of the tunnel. any feedback would be great. thanks.
