I'm new to this board and I've been dealing with chronic pain since December 2013. Chiro, meds, 20 weeks of PT, 7 injections, acupuncture, osteopathic treatments just to name a few. I've got spinal stenosis, facet arthritis and recently found out that I have a labral tear in my right hip. Put on cymbalta about 6 weeks ago..doesn't seem to be doing anything except giving me insomnia (and I'm on pediatric dosage because 30 mg made me not want to eat)...which they gave me flexoral to make me sleep...so then I'm a zombie the next morning.
I've been tested for RA..negative. (thankfully) I was sent to an orthopedic surgeon and they are sending me to Postural Restoration Therapy. I start on Friday. They want me to attend this therapy even if I end up having the tear in my hip joint fixed. I figure what can it hurt...being as I walk like I wobble left to right now.
Anyone else ever have this type of therapy and if so, what were the results?
