  • There is no pain like nerve pain. I have lost everything but my wife and kids. For the last four years I have been house bound.

Make sure you talk to folks. It's easy to get isolated quickly. Best of luck.

I'm sorry to hear your pain is so bad. But I can't stress enough how important your mental health is too. Chronic pain is robbing you of everything including your happiness. For me, I had to make sure I was taking care of my emotional state as well as my physical one. My best advice is to take every day as a new day, and try to support optimism. Yes you are in pain, but hopefully now being referred to a surgeon, you may be heading towards finding relief. Make sure you have someone you can talk to about how you're feeling, emotionally, not just spine-wise. Best of luck to you
