Hi. This is my first time on this forum. I am a 64 yr old female whom was very active with volunteer work twice a week, and some form of exercise every day, sometimes twice a day.
November 24//15 started having pain in Rt leg and buttocks and front of leg in calf area. Received physio and several treatments by chiropractor. Then on January 19//15 woke up with pain in Lt hip. ,calf front and back of leg in calf area, with burning pain in this area. Very difficult to walk. Have to use walker to get around. My condition have improved since then, but still unable to walk very far without walker. Still have to take pain meds and inflammatory meds.every 4-6 hrs. Had MRI and showed above. Had EMG done says some nerve damage. Consult sent to neurosugeon. I am hoping to avoid surgery it at all possible. I can walk around house as long as i hold unto furniture. Bath myself and wash my own hair.Could not do this at first. Could hardly stand up at first. So their is some improvement.
I want to get back to my life as before.Do anyone have any advice. Do you think i can get better without surgery. Please send any information you have or if anyone else have encountered what is going on with me and what experience they have had. Thank you
