terrible pain after chiropractor visits

I saw a chiropractor first time week and half ago. Since my first visit he said I was very tight and hard to adjust. But told it was because I had pain for so long. Went in for pain on right side mid back and neck pain. He tried to adjust mid back and it barely would. He suggested a massage. I got that 2 days later then it still would not adjust. I've been "adjusted" 3 times now and next day. HORRIBLE PAIN. He cracked my neck each time too. I know am in more pain in mid back with it following all the way to neck. With neckache, tension and headaches and nausea. The pain in mid back is worse. I have my husband rub, nothing helps. I feel sick and miserable

First things first, we don't have any background information on anything with respect to why you went to see a Chiropractor? Seeing a Chiropractor for the wrong condition can do more harm than good. It is very important to see the right Doctor for the right condition. Did you have an accident? Is this something that just happened out of the blue? Is there a condition? Why did you decide on a Chiropractor? Without any background info, it makes for a scattered response. The sky is the limit here!

My advice to you is to STOP immediately with this Chiropractor. You need to speak to your GP, get an xray, followed up with a possible MRI and then referred to the RIGHT Doctor. Please do NOT delay. See your Doctor immediately and get this sorted out.

In the meantime, buy a heating pad and use it on your back when in pain. It works wonders for me. I'm sure it can help manage that back pain for you. A TENS machine can always help out as well (cheap enough). You can always buy some Tylenol 1's w/ codeine, Aleve or Advil at the local drug store as well to help you along.....

Realize that FEAR is our worst enemy. Get up & get out in that stormy weather of the real world & kick fear in the teeth. Stare at it dead in the eyes & walk right through it into the storm; because once you're wet, you won’t fear the rain anymore
  • I went to chiropractor who massaged my neck.he adjusted my mid thoracic spine .two days later i had all these nerve issues.and loss sensation in my legs.wouldnt go through it again
  • He did a clinical evaluation and then refused to do anything saying I had slipped a disc and needed to see an orthopaedic consultant.

When I saw the consultant, he said several times that I should never go near a chiropractor.

L5-S1 herniation. Both knee meniscus tear. L4-5 herniation - 2 x nerve block injections. L4-5 discectomy. L1-2 nerve block injection. L4-5 reherniation - TLIF fusion. 2016: L1-2 and L5-S1 retrolistheses and multiple facet joint degeneration.
  • I have had chiro visits. I was in pain the first day. I was told to ice my back off and on and to drink tons of water. Did your chiro suggest that? If not try it and see if that helps
  • It is imperative that you visit the correct Doctor for the right ailment. In my situation, a Chiropractor would do a great deal of harm.

Chiropractors are in most cases damaging your already battered spine. I wish people would do some research before going to these doctor wannabes.
