Hello, I'm new here but not to spinal surgeries. 7 to be exact. Yesterday I was told I have Caudia Equina Syn. I no longer take any medications for pain or depression, for the past 7-8 months. I've accepted the fact that my life is differant and never to be the same. My Doctors are amazed at the new me. About 2 months ago I began to loose feeling in my one foot and then the bowel thing came about. Now it's both feet. I quess the point I want to make is I'm stuck in the middle of a "political" arena. I cannot explain all at this point, but I'm at wits end of this whole thing.
Thank you for reading this, and my prayers go to all spinal patients.

  • Welcome to spine-health......
  • :) hi and welcome to the forum! we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. i am sorry to read of your "situation." good luck and i hope to see you around the forum! Jenny :)
  • Accepting the change and keeping on looking for ways to heal are two different things. There is a lot of fight in you to have made it through 7 surgeries. I am not settling for what has happened to me after 4. I keep trying things to get the feeling back in my foot and the rest of my body that was affected. There are a lot of us here struggling through each day so keep trying. I am having acupuncture weekly now and I see signs that healing is occurring. I just won't accept any diagnosis other than what I want to happen. I am not a quitter. My expectations for myself are quite high and I plan to keep them that way, or I might as well did the ditch myself and just jump in.
We are all here for you so reach out.
