constant neck pain

I have a bulging disc in neck..bone spur and recently torn tissue at base of skull. The pain was excruciating! 1 month later still very sore and limited movement in neck my biggest problem is my ears and pain swallowing. .my ears are on fire it feels like I tried to blow up a balloon and blew too hard the glands that pop when that is done ..behind the ear is what hurts most..no relief what so ever..need imput

  • My neck pain took over 6 months to lessen, it was very gradual lessening of pain, like 10% less pain per month, then my neck stayed at that new level of pain forever. During that 6 months pain meds helped a bit, but I still had a lot of nck pain.

I've never heard f the ear problem, but it might be related to the torn tissue at base of skull.

You are seeing a doctor, right?
  • I am seeing a doctor..and bouncing around to testing and a referral to a thoracic doctor is in the works.i am upset that my pain isn't being taken seriously. And it isn't about the meds cause they don't work anyway.sick of all the testing and no answers coming from it. At my wits end. I want to be taken seriously so I can in turn be fixed
