Is it good news or bad?

When I first injured myself 2 years ago, I immediately complained of neck pain & shoulder pain. All of my doctors told me that my shoulder pain was coming from my herniated c4/5 disc. After 2 neck fusion surgeries, I'm still complaining of severe shoulder pain. I am seeing a pain doctor who has me on 1800mg of gabapentin, 10mg Zohydro & Vicodin. None of these meds touch my shoulder pain. The ortho doctor did an mri a year ago & told me there's nothing wrong with my shoulder. So this week I decided to go to a new ortho doctor & took him my mri film. He looked at it & said it clearly shows that I have a labral tear? He now ordered a new test (arthrogram) that I have scheduled for May 1. He also told me I'm most likely going to need surgery to repair this. I am so discouraged at this point. Although I am happy to find a doctor that believes there's something wrong with my shoulder, I'm not looking forward to needing another surgery! My left arm is so weak and I've lost all muscle tone in it. I need some words of encouragement. It's so hard to think positive right now.
