:O Hi everyone i was diagnosed wih all these things wrong with me last year. I have been living in pain for along time. I worked in warehouses most of my life and the kind of work that i did involved alot of heavy lifting. When i was working in a warehouse in 1997 i had felt a sharp pain in my neck and low back when i was lifting a box that weighed about 70 lbs on to a LTL line I filed a workmans comp and they made me go through some physical therapy for a while and gave me flexeril which is a muscle relaxant the pain was getting a little better but the supervisor at the job told me if i didnt close the work comp claim that they would have to let me go. I had no choice back then but to close the claim because i had children to take care of and jobs were hard to find so i closed it. After that job i worked at some other warehouses and Temp agencys the pain in back and neck was so bad that i would find that i could hardly walk sometimes and i would get spasms down neck and back. To say the least if i would have knowen that this would be the long term affect i would have not chosen to do that kind of work. This is my everyday pain because of it!

  • hi!
i have everything you have except the cervical stenosis (but have a ton of neck and upper back pain with no diagnosis) and they suspect fibro that overlaps my RA. I have hemangiomas on T4 and L5. How does the hemangioma affect you?

  • WOW! You so got screwed over by WC and your employer! Not knowing the ins and outs of how WC works can get you if you're not careful. I was sent to do an evaluation by WC and little did I know that they were figuring the percentage of my disability so that they could settle the claim. I didn't know that was the reason for the evaluation so they ended up closing my case. On top of that, the place I worked for 'let me go' because I had not been scheduled for at least eight hours in the last pay period. I was a good employee before the injury. I would go in to work extra shifts when they were short handed.

I'm wondering... have you applied for disability yet? This might be a good move for you.

Welcome to the forum. Hang in there. There are so many caring people on these boards that have tons of information and experiences to share with you.
  • :''( Hello everyone. I've had lower back pain for 4 years now. I saw my fam prac, had and xray and heard nothing of the results until i returned months later crying about my lower back. He checked it and said that it was swollen so he looks at the results from the xray and tells me that it's mild scoliosis and the curv is at the top resulting in pressure on my lower back. Oh and just so you know he got the results in 3 mos before i returned and no one told me.

So he refers me to this RA doc and he says, "oh everyone has mild scoliosis, that's not your problem". I see him every two mos, no therapy no nothing. He tells me I need to excersise. I walk every where I have to go, he tells me to run. I dang near put myself out of commission for a week. I asked him about disability and he says "oh u just have fribromyalgia they wont hear you. He's doin nothing for me guys!!!

Is there any help for me? I'm trying to get a new doctor that's specializes in this, but it's hard because it takes so long with medi-cal. I feel like he's just tryin to see me to make money. My back is worse, it hurst so much sometimes I start shaking.

Any advice anyone. Im hoping disability will at least if they deny me, help me get to a real specialist.
  • Have you had a mri?the mri will see more than a xray....
  • :/ I was in a car accident on June 1st, I went to the ER complaining of chest pain to my sternum. Er told me nothing was broke and sent me home. I left the state 2 days later because of a family illness. When I returned to the state of FL 2 and a half weeks later my chest still hurt and I still had a bunch of tension. I contacted an attorney about my car. They sent me to a chiropracter who sent me for an MRI, because my C3-5 looked odd on the xray, at the same time I learned that the tension I thought I was feeling was acctually a head ache that he was able to make go away temporarally with ice and a tens unit! Before I got in for the resaults I recieved the break down of what the hospital billed my insurance company, in there was the diagnosis of Scoliosis. I waited till the medical records office opened today and got a copy of my file. The hospital failed to call me and tell me that they seen the scoliosis on my Xray. so I took it all in to the chiropracter, my doctor is on vacation so the fill in doctor then informe's me that I have a Hemangioma in the C5 vertibra.....I was never told of any of this before this accident, So I can only asume that it all came from the accident since the diagnosis code states that it can be cause by a trama. I have a friend who was given the same diagnosis after an accident and now is on disability several years later....How bad is this going to get for me??
