Howdy, the name is Adam and I have had back pains for a handful of years now and over the last 5 years it has gotten a lot worse. Once or twice while working on one of our cars (I work on cars for fun, just to tinker) I was bent over and stood up and both legs would not work, so to the Dr. I went. They found 4 bulging discs and that I had spinal stenosis. Well I have seen a Dr. here in Nashville who said I am about 1 mm away from needing surgery, and have undergone extremely painful epidurals, I get that there are a lot of people who make this stuff up to get pain medication but the proof is in the puddin, so to speak with my MRI and other Dr.s verifying my issues.
So at any rate I am in my early 30's and each Dr. has said my back looks like that of a 60/70 year olds and that it is a genetic degenerative issue, in which my sister has degenerative disc disease, my Dad has it, my grand father had it, my grand fathers brothers had back surgery to repair degenerative back issues. So yeah i am also the tallest of them.
I will add that Inversion tables have made it worse, when a flare up occurs (pretty much weekly even though I try to make sure and limit flare up activity), I do stay in shape and take bike rides, but sadly it continues to worsen and both legs are starting to become affected.
I look forward to reading more on how to manage this as I do not take pain medication every day even though it helps I get used to it extremely quick and only wait for it to get back then get medication, I will add that Neurontin works great for the tingling, numbness, twitching in my legs.
Youngin with the back problems.
