Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I could use the wealth of knowledge you all have to share.
I am 36 M, moderately active and have been diagnosed with L4-5 herniated disc 4 weeks ago. After 4 weeks, my backache has resolved and sciatica is bearable. I still have lot of tingling numbness with activity . I tried initiating physical therapy at a hospital but pain returned right away. I do not think the program was tailored to my problem (I had to do stretching of piriformis for example). My neurosurgeon thinks I need surgery but I am hoping to avoid it and give conservative treatment my best shot first
Anyways, my question is which exercises helped alleviate your pain, weakness and tingling numbness ? Thanks in advance
ALL excercise programs should be cleared and approved by your medical provider specific to your individual condition. It is unwise and unsafe to follow the excercise programs of other members without your doctor's permission.
