I have been dealing with lower back pain for a year now, I have been an athlete my entire like (I'm 24) and have been struggling heavily with this issue phsyically, and even more so mentally.
I have been diagnosed with spondylolisthesis at the L5-S1, but the both an ortho and a neuro said it is so slight that I shouldnt feel symptoms and that surgery would be out of the question. I also have some water loss in the disc at L4-L5, but its nothing major.
I do not understand how these little of symptoms can create over a year of side effects. Like I said, I am an athlete. I need to move, run, jump and all those things. Without them I feel like Im going insane.
the two main times I experience pain are:
-Hanging from a bar or inversion table
The second of my symptoms really confuses me, everything thing I read shows that hanging relieves people's symptoms.
So my question is can anyone think of a reason why hanging or getting on an inversion table would create significant pain?
I've asked this same question to about 4 doctors and several PT's with no success.
