severe nerve pain 6 weeks post op

So yesterday I got the all clear to drive from NS so I headed to get my hair done this morning. Well long story short I was at the salon for 3 hrs. I sat the majority of the time but also stood and stretched. But after about an hour coming home I started to get extreme sciatic pain in hip to knee area, and also tingling up my spine. My feet have also felt very cold since this. I'm assuming I aggregated the nerves and pushed it a little much. Has anyone else experienced these types of symptoms from prolonged sitting. FYI I'm 6 weeks post op from a L2 - L3 fusion.

  • Yes. I'm six weeks out of laminectomy and fusion in my thoracic lumbar junction and I have had nerve pain in my feet and calves fairly constant after surgery. I also have pain in my left leg and occasionally groin. I did not have this pain prior to surgery

My doctor says more time is needed for the nerves to settle. I'm concerned and anxious which is not helping. I have not been able to walk far as I get fatigued. I'm 48 healthy male and this has really made me concerned about my future. So yes nerve pain can continue or come about. Some have it better or worse than others. I hope I can get better and wish you the same
